MOVES TO RELOCATE FROM CHALLENGE BOOKSHOP
In the process of time, new members started identifying with the House fellowship and the need to move to a larger and more convenient environment became imperative. However, in quick succession, alternative places of worship were sought for and obtained. Namely; State School Orogbum and Professor Onofeghara’s residence. Eventually, the leader of the ‘Church’ thought of a brilliant idea and subsequently applied to the Parochial Church Committee Of Christ Church, Moscow Road to allow ECWA hold service by 4:30pm every Sunday. The Church is an inter-denominational Church pastured by Anglican, Methodist and Presbyterian Churches in rotation.

ACQUISITION OF PERMANENT SITE
With the challenges of moving from one place of worship to the other, the Church leaders applied to the Rivers State Government for two plots of land where the permanent site of the Church will come to stay. Good a thing, God has planted an an ECWA member to save the situation just same way Esther was planted in Susan to save the Jews, in the person of Major General Zamani Lekwot as the military Governor of Rivers State.
According to Elder Alale on ‘’ May 27th, 1976. We met the Military Governor of Rivers state, His Excellency Lt. Colonel Zamani Lekwot. After giving him a report of the progress of the Church, we highlighted our problem in securing a plot of land for the Church building. He was prepared to help..’’ To the glory of God, on 12th August, 1976, the parcel of land at plot 169, Oromineke Layout, 21, Omoku Street, D’Line was allocated to ECWA Church D’Line, Port Harcourt. It was gotten on the platter of gold for permanent site through the instrumentality of our irrepressible and indefatigable, Major General Zamani Lekwot (Rtd).
